The farther down their peninsula one goes, the swampier it gets. Beetle lake is a densely populated area, being the highest numbers of LeafWings and HiveWings living in harmony. The lake is used by both The Kingdom of the Trees and [[The HiveWing Kingdom]], and mostly borders are ignored there because of its major role in supporting the Western region and the Hives nearby.

The Kingdom of the Trees has a unique culture and society compared to other kingdoms, especially | The Kingdom of the Trees has a unique culture and society compared to other kingdoms, especially Pyrrhian ones. LeafWings have a deep connection with trees, and treat their forest friends with a lot of reverence. Those who dare to harm trees are ostracized. The respect for trees isn't limited to the Kingdom of the Trees, however, with many dragons all over Pantala sharing the love for them. That universal love even extends to legislation, as in other kingdoms there are even protections for trees. The knowledge that trees are important resources isn't lost on the kingdom, and trees that are a result of natural splinterfall (particularly as of rainy season hurricanes) are often collected for resources so that the trees may still be of use to LeafWings even after death. The burning of these fallen trees is still prohibited, though. The usage of dead trees for benefit isn't a one way deal. A common LeafWing burial ritual is to have the body laid to rest under a young or sickly tree so that the tree may use the body for its benefit.
It is commonly accepted that fire is horrific by many LeafWings, and symbolizes treeharm. A smaller portion of those dragons believe that SkyWings are the embodiment of fire and treeharm, and are inherently evil in some way. This is mostly recognized as a baseless and prejudiced opinion, however. | It is commonly accepted that fire is horrific by many LeafWings, and symbolizes treeharm.
