Description

Otter has relatively neutral light brown scales, which slightly lean towards warm tones on his sides and back. He has a mask of dark brown on his face, with an extra arc of tealish-blue scales lined with two glowscales on his cheeks. Her eyes are a golden color, with a darker sclera and lighter iris. Otter's underbelly is a very light brown shade, similar to her sides, although much lighter and a touch yellower. Her dorsal scales are a deep brown, the same shade as her face, and lay in a caped pattern that swirls around the shoulders and hips. Within those swirls lie one glowscale each, similar to a sharp cattail plant. Along the side of his underbelly is a small spattering of thin but tall glowscales. Her back left foot has a “sock” pattern, the same color as his dorsal scales.

Personality

Otter tends to be quiet and reserved, only showing her actual emotions when he is familiar with the other dragon. His thoughts are quite filled with bloodlust and interest in all things gorey, and she quickly grows bored of things that aren't remarkably stimulating. She is relatively vocal about her thoughts on activities or dragons that fail to pique her interest, indicating a sort of impatience about her. Despite her visceral thoughts, he enjoys assisting the injured or abandoned animals he may find and spends his days working as a bartender.

Biography

Hatched near the Diamond Spray Delta, Otter had no siblings and lacked the familial instinct of a MudWing due to his SeaWing heritage being genetically dominant. She developed an interest in combat early on, often walking off from her hatching ground to watch some of the warriors fight. When she caught small fish to feed herself, Otter tended to try and mimic those techniques and adapt them to the water with some difficulty.

A few years later, she came across an injured shoebill stork. For a few moments, she considered killing it, but couldn't bring himself to kill such a weak creature due to figuring that it would be unfair to win a fight against another animal that had no means of escape. For once, he had pity for another creature. Other decided to take the bird back and mend its broken leg, despite his knowledge being lacking. Over time, she found three more animals in need of help and took them in.

After a couple of years, Otter had begun combat training. At last, they were ready to challenge for a position of nobility. Viscount Cranberry, a small and red-ish MudWing lacking their back left leg, proved to be an easy target. Despite normally supporting the unfortunate, she only saw the Viscount's resignation as cowardly, with this sentiment being exacerbated by their resignation being right after the challenge was initiated. Not long after becoming a noble, the hybrid attended the Harvest Festival. They secretly enjoyed the bloody, theatric performance, a far cry from the common reaction to the tragedy.

• He applied for his position due to a drive to be “of assistance” to her kingdom.
• Being the current Crown Noble of the MudWings, Otter's full title is "Otter, Noble of Swamp and Sea".
• Otter was mostly just a fun thought Moss had, citing their namesake animal to be “quite evil in real life,” and “not all the 'cute and fun' things shown”. When designing him, they wanted to have her seem approachable, with some spiky or sharp details to slightly allude to her less desirable attributes.
