Elytra

Overview

As part of its Dragonspeak resource pack, Wings of Fire: The New World has over 30 pairs of custom-textured and unbreakable elytra, enabled with CIT mods such as Optifine or CIT Resewn. These custom elytra have three different categories:

• Tribe wings, all available in the Hub
• Event wings, given out as rewards for in-game events
• Staff wings, custom wings belonging to WoF:TNW staff members. These are also, on occasion, available from in-game.

Wings

The easiest to obtain of all custom elytra, these wings can be found in the bottom floor of the Hub, in the south chamber labeled "Wing Selection". Each tribe has multiple options for wing colors, with tribes' elytra sporting custom linework and, for HiveWings and SilkWings, the illusion of two pairs of wings on one elytra.

Event Wings and Staff Wings

Event wings are most often available during staff-run events, such as the Festival of Favors or the Winter 2023 event. These are purely cosmetic, and serve as a memento. Not all staff-run events will have custom elytra available as a prize. Event wings are often themed after specific holidays they were given out during.

Staff Wings

While occasionally given out at events, each staff member's custom pair of elytra is usually exclusive to them. They are designed by the member of staff that owns them, often to fit a character, and can have features unique from other wings such as gradients or special markings.
