King Rapture was the ruler after Providence and before Silentseer. He was the Lord of Eventide before his acension to the throne, still technically in the position of Lord but handing the responsibilities to his best friend Mamba. He has incredible mind-reading capabilities from being hatched under a blood moon.
Description[edit | edit source]
Rapture is an unusually large NightWing for his age, bulky and muscular and covered in scars. He has purple-black scales that are lighter on his snout. His underbelly is a grey-purple in color, and his horns are nearly black in color, a faint sheen of indigo shining in the light. His eyes are a piercing purple color, though are sometimes said to gleam a crimson red. Silver teardrop scales behind his eyes signal his mind-reading capabilities.

Rapture has a multitude of scars, scars of note are as listed:
- Torn right ear
- Frost scar on the right side of his chest/neck (given to him by an IceWing)
- Spear wound on the left side of his face/snout (given to him by a NightWing guard)
- Burn scar on right arm (given to him by a SkyWing)
- RainWing venom scar on left thigh
- Bite scar on his left leg
- Burn scars on his wings (given to him by Fire Lord Vulture during the Frostburn War Finale)
Personality[edit | edit source]
Rapture was an honorable dragon, extremely wary of his size and appearance and how others may make him out to be. He was quite the smooth-talker too, having flirted with several queens in the past. Aside from that, he was thoughtful and means well most of the time, willing to sacrifice anything for not only those around him but for those he was sworn to protect as King and Lord. Under pressure, he tended to make rash decisions- especially if his friends or innocents were in trouble.
Biography[edit | edit source]
Life Before Rulership[edit | edit source]
Rapture fled the NightWing Kingdom at a young age with his father Stygian. They flew to the Eventide Isles where he spent a majority of his dragonethood. He rose up in the ladder, swiftly defeating Heir Night in a challenge to the death. During this time, he was also Lord of Eventide, as well as the Fire Lord's Champion. The latter position was revoked from him as soon as he became king.
As NightWing prince, he held a meeting with the Frozen Lotus Alliance leaders: King Noctua of The IceWings, Queen Legacy of The RainWings, and Queen Moss of The SeaWings. He, along with Mamba and Silentseer, attempted to convince the rulers to allow Frostburn War refugees onto Eventide for safekeeping. The rulers denied his request after a lengthy conversation.
During the first Full Moon Festival, he arrived late with the rest of the Eventide dragons. Rapture talked to Queen Agave of The SandWings after seeing her being troubled. When Agave was "attacked" by a sudden burst of purple crystals, he was quick to assist the SandWing queen and her heir, Obelisk. He swore himself the protector of Obelisk from then on, trying to help her as the acting SandWing queen.
Life as Ruler[edit | edit source]
Rapture became king nearly right before the Frostburn War was scheduled to occur. He fought valiantly in the battles, though was sent to attack a separate area while the SkyWings executed a surprise attack on an IceWing village. He was furious with the decision, attempting to stop Vulture from attacking IceWing princess Blizzard after he had thrown Noctua off of the large snowy arch they were atop. Vulture burned his wings in retaliation, and when Blizzard shattered the Heart of Ice & Fire, Rapture prevented Vulture from attacking anyone else by swiftly knocking him out.
After the Frostburn War, Rapture declared the NightWings neutral with all tribes, distancing himself from the Firebound Alliance. He did however assist in aiding Vulture with his predicament with Yueguang, as well as grow closer to Queen Agave and then Princess Obelisk. One day, however, Rapture disappeared from the spotlight, thought to be from his growing detachment to reality. When guards were sent to look for him on Eventide Isles, it was discovered that the island had sank back into the ocean, with no dragon to be seen.
