The NightWings operate under a federal monarchy system, joining together four provinces and two territories. The monarch is somewhat separated from these provinces, allowing each province relative autonomy, and enabling the monarch to focus on more pressing kingdom-wide issues rather than day-to-day politics.
The viceroy of each province is either appointed by the monarch, or in rare cases, elected. if a viceroy is seen as unfit to rule, the monarch may have them replaced. By default, the viceroy will be the next dragon down the royalty board, starting at the crown heir, then the heir apparent and so on.
If a NightWing wishes to live outside of the Night Kingdom, unless required by the kingdom they now reside in, they will remain under the protection and citizenship of the Night Kingdom.
Any dragon may immigrate into the Night Kingdom. If said dragon wishes to become a permanent resident, they must get citizenship. Citizenship can be obtained after 1 year of residence, and completion of a test.

==== Starlight Province ====
====== Governance and Leadership ======
The viceroy of the Starlight province is chosen by a system which aims to install the most fit dragon. If the current viceroy of the province is challenged, and loses, the challenger is awarded their position and executive powers.
When the first viceroy (Constellation) of the region was appointed to the position, she passed a law for the position of viceroy to operate under an election-based system, in which the elected dragon steps down when their term ends.
Ever since Viceroy Constellation took command of the province, an advisory system has been installed utilizing a council of 16 dragons, all over the age of 10.
Each member of the council has a 2 year term synced with the Ebon Province. This can be checked by the viceroy of Starlight Province, who has the power to hold a vote to remove a member of the council from their position before their term would normally end. Voting for the council members is a right reserved only by the citizens of the Starlight region and the royals, and the process is strictly anonymous.
====== Geography ======
The Starlight region is settled almost directly in the middle of the Night Kingdom, with mountains to the west and a Mesa to the east. The Sand Kingdom to the North and an ocean to the south. Because of its geography, it is where most urban NightWings live.
====== Culture ====== | |||
Since the Starlight Region has such a high population density they also have quite a high party life, with parties going into the early hours into the morning in certain parts of the region.
However, The Starlight region also has a more economic side, importing and exporting various goods, it has one of the largest harbors in the Night Kingdom.
====== Imports/Exports ======
Since the Starlight region is set on a ocean, it has access to a lot of fish, since this ocean is also a key part to the provinces' thriving culture, meaning they don't have many issues with food production or salt.

Rumors that she hailed from a proto-tribe began to circulate, as a result of her feeling the need to join forces with other dragons to avenge a stolen egg and kicking off the Scorching. The Scorching was an ancient event, in which the dragons rose up in an attempt to commit genocide on the scavengers, the previous dominant life form. The dragons ultimately won this fight. Within the next 500 years, war broke out between the dragons. They slowly separated into tribes from the original three proto-tribes, claiming different territory for themselves.

She is the earliest queen to have written recordings of details such as her name. Dawnbreak was credited with pioneering and utilizing a strategy on the battlefield that was groundbreaking at the time, whereas other tribes still focused heavily on brute force and numbers. The War of Long Talon was a minor war between the NightWings and the SandWings over territory around the Talon Peninsula, starting in 1,715 and ending in 1,719 with Juexin's Charge.
Juexin, Queen Dawnbreak's secret lover and one of her top commanders, foresaw that there was no outcome in the final battle where she would survive. In 3,012, after his rise to power, Darkstalker was placed under a spell, keeping him asleep for the next 2,000 years, though not before his last display of power caused so much fear that the entire tribe went into hiding, finding a hidden island just to avoid the chance they might see him again.

In 3,488, Nightfall, an animus of an unknown tribe roamed across Pyrrhia. Rather than using traditional animus magic, they had two offshoots of animus magic that they called "Transmutation" and "Seals". Nightfall ventured across Pyrrhia using their powers to help other dragons across the continent, never seen without at least two small animals under the Seal's magic by their side, which Nightfall would release back into the wild when their help was no longer needed. Nightfall's cloaked silhouette left much up to debate on their appearance, gender, and tribe, with the general consensus being that they were a female NightWing. After a few decades of helping Pyrrhia, Nightfall eventually vanished without a trace.

A group of dragons from several tribes banded together to deal the finishing blow to Nightfall, before they could cause any more damage. After a long and fierce battle that saw the end of many brave souls, Nightfall's energy was finally spent, and they fell to the combined forces. Some dragons at the scene reported seeing Nightfall's body almost melting into the ground to be soaked up by the earth, never to be seen again (this time, seemingly, for good).

Foreseeing the NightWing volcano's eruption, in 5,001, Queen Battlewinner created the prophecy to end the war of SandWing Succession with the motive to overtake the rain-forest. In 5,002, Queen Battlewinner took an IceWing’s ice breath blast to the throat, limiting her ability to speak. Princess Greatness acted as Battlewinner's messenger, delivering all orders to the tribe. Rumors started to spread that Battlewinner was dead, but these were later proven false. In 5,003, Deathbringer, an assassin, was sent on a mission to kill General Tempest of the SeaWings, but such that it was to be believed to be an act of the MudWings. This ultimately led to the MudWings breaking their alliance with the SeaWings. In 5,011, the island volcano erupted, causing all the NightWings to flee from the island. Queen Battlewinner was killed in the eruption. Queen Glory of the RainWings allowed the NightWings to live in the rain forest on the condition they bowled to her rule as their queen. Darkstalker attempted to take back the NightWings’ tribe as a self-proclaimed king, thus also becoming the first male dragon to ever rule, leading the majority of the tribe back to the Lost City of Night located on the Talon Peninsula. Darkstalker rekindled the 2,000-year-old war between NightWings and IceWings by using animus magic to start a deadly plague in the Ice Kingdom, killing Queen Glacier in the process. Under the rule of a new IceWing queen, Queen Snowfall, a military operation started, targeting Darkstalker. The IceWing and NightWing armies battled at Jade Mountain, in a showdown of thunder and ice. An animus spell from an unknown source allowed all dragons on the battlefield to hear each other's thoughts before teleporting the soldiers back to their home, leaving just Darkstalker and his mother, Foeslayer. Foeslayer tricked Darkstalker into eating an enchanted strawberry, ending his reign of terror once and for all.

By 5,035 almost all NightWings had rejoined their tribe in Renewal, leaving the rainforest behind. In 5,100, a Blood Red Moon was recorded. Additionally, this law officially allowed the rule of a male dragon. By 6,050, NightWings had opened borders to other tribes and officially allowed them to pass through NightWing territory and waterways for trade or relief efforts with proper documentation. Just 10 years later in 6,060, NightWing hybrids were officially recognized as part of the tribe and allowed all the same rights as pure NightWings.

In 6,128, a NightWing/ | In 6,128, a NightWing/HiveWing dragon claiming to be the son of one of the scholars sent to study the ''Book of Clearsight'' arrived from Pantala. Said dragon's name was Rapture, and he began to study his abilities as well as building systems for more efficient trading. By 6,130, Rapture had started the Merchant's Guild, which brought all trading markets together under a single roof. In this system, only one merchant license was needed for cross-tribe trading of NightWing goods, as well as introducing the idea of credit and interest. The guild was additionally an official extension of the crown, meaning merchants were now allowed to carry specialized items. By the time of 6,135, this new trading format had spread throughout most of the other kingdoms. The NightWings built a massive trading area known as Dawnburst Trading Outpost, in response to the growing popularity of their established systems, in 6,140.
In 6,150, the ruler at the time started to perform some controversial actions, beginning to sell large amounts of the kingdom for political alliances and fortune. This action left many citizens uncomfortable and began unrest within the kingdom, as little NightWing land would now exist. As a direct result, some individuals began to make plans to take action into their own hands to 'save' their kingdom. Formed a few years earlier, yet not very active until 6,160, The Crimson Night, a private military organization founded by Rapture, had begun to gain a larger amount of members and had begun challenging the city guards and royal guard. In 6,190, the Crimson Nights launched an attack on the city guard centers in the NightWing Capital. A battle ensued, with the remaining city guard retreating into the palace walls and grouping with the highest-ranked royal guards. Many of the Crimson Nights were lost in the subjugation of the city guard. Rapture, believing he had the upper hand in the conflict, continued on and broke through the palace gate. As royal guards and the Crimson Nights battled, an unknown dragon emerged from the palace and lifted her talons up, causing a flash of lightning to strike down on the center of the battlefield. Dragons from both sides vanished in an instant. In the chaos, Rapture called for retreat. Many referred to this event as "The Red River", as once the Crimson Nights fled, it would rain in the capital and the blood in the streets created red rivers from the palace down to the docks. A memorial was built for the Red River in 6,193. This memorial was made to honor all the guards and citizens lost in the fight against the Crimson Nights. All of Rapture's descendants were shunned and banished from the Night Kingdom. In 6,195 a new law was passed prohibiting NightWing eggs from being hatched under the moonlight of blood moons and blue moons, due to events of the Red River. Under King Rapture's command, he ordered the brightest minds in the NightWing Kingdom to begin overlooking old scrolls on Blood Moons and research him, as Night was a hatchling of the Blood Moon. Early research showed that despite being born under three blood moons, he seemed to lack the ability of future sight but had a very strong form of mind reading, being able to hear the thoughts of dragons much further than ever believed as well as finding skyfire needed to be used in larger amounts to fully block out his mind reading capabilities. The events of 8,026 would lead to it being known as, “the year of the Birth of Modern Psychology”. Judgment, an esteemed scholar, released his research of using mind-reading abilities to grasp a better understanding of behavior and reactions. Through Judgment and his assistants’ experiments, Judgment studied the perception of participants from across Pyrrhian tribes. In a later experiment, he tried to observe behavioral responses among NightWing subjects, each born during different phases of the moons. Historians today widely acknowledge Judgment’s contribution to the foundations of modern psychology in Pyrrhia.

In 8,040, scientist Judgment disappeared. Hired as a mind-reading specialist, Judgment joined the skyfire case study led by Cardinal the SkyWing, located at the southern edge of the Ice Kingdom. NightWing journalists and other scholars questioned his sudden disappearance from the scientific field, and his final whereabouts remain a mystery.

In 8,051, after 9 years of searching with no signs of the Rapture or Eventide, the search came to a close.
Celestial Silentseer continued the research that Rapture started on the Blood Moons, as well as expanding his gaze to the fabled Blue Moon in 8,059. Not much information was found in the scrolls of old, but there was a mention of a very bright and large blue moon being noticed in the sky during the early days of the Night Kingdom. It is theorized that this could be a type of super moon which has not been seen in generations. It can also be assumed that blood moons may have this type of variant.

In 8,090, Athienruem Library was burned down. The burning of the library happened unexpectedly after the death of its owner, Royal Librarian Horrorteller. Said to be lost in the fire were public records of most important NightWing events other than generally known history, as well as important documents and reports from the past centuries. Many records are now kept from the public, and are not recorded outside of the noble circle.
In 8, | In 8,100, coinciding with the strange disappearance of Overlord Night/Yueguang, a trio of dragons that look like Yueguang emerged in their place. They did not seem to speak the same language as the rest of the dragons or each other, but they operated with the uncanny coordination of a single unit rather than three individuals. The NightWings operated without a ruler until 8,123, when Prince Silentseer appeared once more, claiming to of seen visions in which Rapture was still alive. Proof of these claims was never found outside of a destroyed NightWing outpost to the north of the Ice Kingdom. The NightWings later forged an alliance with the SandWings.

Overlords Yueguang/Night was spotted flying over the Kingdom of the Sea and plunging deep into the ocean, where they seemingly vanished. Following the disappearance of the overlords, the sky turned red as life itself felt to be leaving the world. All living things started turning grey, losing their colors and experiencing general fatigue. After the sky returned to its normal hues, newly released reports stated that the overlords were dead, and the new ruler, Celestial Silentseer was crowned thereafter.
Later that year, the Glasscough Plague broke out in the Kingdom of Sand. To prevent the disease’s spread, the Night Kingdom promptly closed their border to the desert kingdom. The Barchan Pharoah [[Lemongrass]] fell ill, causing Regent [[Cassiope]] to step up. The regent’s behavior caused unrest and dissatisfaction, causing the alliance between the two tribes to be dissolved. Additionally, the Kingdom of Night’s government was restructured, officially being renamed, “the Kingdom of the Moons”, and changing from an absolute monarchy to a federal monarchy with four provinces and two territories all operating under the monarch.

A Moonslice is worth 1/2 of a Moonshard, and is made with an amethyst centre and bronze band with runes. A moonstone is worth 5 times a Moonshard and has an opal centre, surrounded by a gold band with carved runes. Governance and Leadership

Starlight Province
Governance and Leadership
Geography
The Starlight region is settled almost directly in the middle of the Night Kingdom, with mountains to the west and a Mesa to the east. The Sand Kingdom to the North and an ocean to the south. Because of its geography, it is where most urban NightWings live.
Culture
Since the Starlight Region has such a high population density they also have quite a high party life, with parties going into the early hours into the morning in certain parts of the region.
However, The Starlight region also has a more economic side, importing and exporting various goods, it has one of the largest harbors in the Night Kingdom.
Imports/Exports
Since the Starlight region is set on a ocean, it has access to a lot of fish, since this ocean is also a key part to the provinces' thriving culture, meaning they don't have many issues with food production or salt.

History
Pre-Scorching ∞-0 B.S.
Very little is known about this time period, other than the first Proto-Dragons, but historians in somewhat recent years have found skeletons of dragons under the earth, all in different ways, although all with some form of tail Barb symbol.
Post-Scorching 1-499 A.S.
Marked by 3 major milestones, this era consisted of the crowning of the first-ever dragon queen.
The Ancient Era 500-1,199 A.S.
It is commonly believed around the year 500 A.S., the NightWing tribe completely separated from the proto-tribes and picked their own Queen.
By the year 1000, the NightWings had started to develop basic technology such as basic medicine, followed by a written language in 1,010 A.S.
The Dark Renaissance 1,200-2,971 A.S.
In 1,200 A.S., NightWings developed more advanced medicine, kicking off The Dark Renaissance. Around 1,700 A.S., Queen Dawnbreak was crowned.
Rather than telling Dawnbreak, Juexin went out and commenced her final stand anyway. Intending to go out on her own terms, Juexin ordered a near-suicidal charge straight into enemy lines. The charge was successful for the heavily outnumbered NightWings, defying all odds and managing to tear into the enemy forces, sending them running. Juexin, however, was mortally wounded during the charge. Dawnbreak would visit her dying lover in the infirmary, during which her final words to her queen and lover were, "you’re welcome." Juexin's Charge would mark the end of the war, with both sides running out of steam which resulted in a draw. In 2,138, Juexin City began construction, a trading city named after this stubborn yet brave commander, which sits at the mouth of the river, just south of Jade Mountain.
The Rise of Darkstalker 2,972-3,012 A.S.
This era was mainly focused on Darkstalker and his rise to power, starting with Queen Vigilance being crowned in 2,972 A.S. In 3,006, the NightWings used Foeslayer as bait to steal Prince Arctic of the IceWings to introduce an animus bloodline into their tribe. As a result, the great war of Ice and Night began. In 3,007, Darkstalker hatched. In 3,012, after his rise to power, Darkstalker was placed under a spell, keeping him asleep for the next 2,000 years, though not before his last display of power caused so much fear that the entire tribe went into hiding, finding a hidden island just to avoid the chance they might see him again.
The Age of Shadows 3,013-4,997 A.S.
It is commonly regarded that around 3,060 A.S., Clearsight finished writing her famous book, known as The Book of Clearsight.
In 3,488, Nightfall, an animus of an unknown tribe, roamed across Pyrrhia. Rather than using traditional animus magic, they had two offshoots of animus magic that they called "Transmutation" and "Seals". Transmutation allowed Nightfall to change an object into another object of identical mass and material whereas Seals were paper talismans that allowed objects to carry out the commands written on them, similar to animus magic.
In 3,545 A.S., in what is now known as the Sanguine Skies Incident, Nightfall returned. Rather than helping the continent of Pyrrhia as a whole, many dragons reported hearing them mentioning the name "Blackberry". Several reports of missing dragons were also filed around the time of their return, with the only thing linking the missing dragons to Nightfall being residue left behind by their transmutation magic. The cases increased each day for until the eighth day of the incident, when Nightfall was observed to kill a dragon in broad daylight. By now, Nightfall had become a serious threat.
The NightWing Exodus 4,998-5,999 A.S.
Queen Battlewinner was crowned as queen in 4,998 A.S. The NightWings accepted thus, crowning Queen Glory of the RainWings and NightWings, the first dual tribe ruler since the time of proto-dragons.
In the same era, Darkstalker woke from the spell binding him, managing to escape his prison under Agate Mountain.
All the NightWings returned to the rain forest under Queen Glory for the next eight years, until in 5,020, when a group of 27 NightWings led by Fierceteeth left to return to their true home, the Lost City of Night. These dragons created a new settlement called Renewal. By 5,030, enough NightWings had returned to Renewal for it to be worth crowning their own queen once more, Queen Fierceteeth of the NightWings. By 5,035 almost all NightWings had rejoined their tribe in Renewal, leaving the rainforest behind. In 5,100, a Blood Red Moon was recorded. In 5,200, construction began on a new NightWing Palace, building on the ruins of the Lost City of Night.
Starlight Commerce Revolution 6,000-7,499 A.S.
In 6,000 A.S., the Laws of Succession were changed to permit any noble to attempt to climb royalty ranks, thus allowing them to challenge the ruler.
After years of negotiation between Nightwings and HiveWings, at last in 6,080, the NightWings traded some of their research to the Hives as part of a deal to let NightWing scholars study the Book of Clearsight.
In 6,120, a Blood Moon was recorded. All eggs were taken inside the kingdom, to avoid the tales told from the old scripts. The sky went blood red and some NightWings reported that they felt more aggression during their exposure to the moonlight, having hateful thoughts.
In 6,128, a NightWing/HiveWing dragon claiming to be the son of one of the scholars sent to study the Book of Clearsight arrived from Pantala.
Any dragonets that are born under these circumstances are turned over to the royal family to discuss further action, and the parents of the dragonet may be imprisoned for endangerment of the kingdom.
The Age of Astral Discoveries 7,500-7,719 A.S.
In 7,500, King Hank is crowned, followed by King Shade in 7,520, then Queen Claire in 7,600. The Titan Pact VS. Hurricane War began in 7,616, with the NightWings joining the Titan Pact side under the rule of Queen Claire. With the Hurricane losing the first fight of the war, Queen Claire pulled the NightWings out of the war due to seeing it as an unfair fight for the opposition.
In 7,620 Yueguang became the ruler, taking up the title of Overlord Yueguang. Yueguang found and used an ancient artifact called the Gem of Nightfall in 7,621 for many of their experiments. The gem was reported to be an infinite, yet extremely unstable source of energy, allowing NightWings to make many generations' leaps ahead in technology. While not confirmed, many rumors began to spread about Yueguang's experiments, with some believing that they were even experimenting on live dragons within their hidden lab. None of these rumors have been confirmed. A handful of dragons, some of them having animus powers, were reported missing around this time but were never found. The reality was that Yueguang had lured them into their lab to experiment on them, an action which was not discovered until after Yueguang's reign.
Overlord Yueguang created a temporary alliance with the IceWings' ruler, King Polar, and the MudWings in 7,622. The following year, in 7,623, another multi-tribe alliance was created. This Alliance included the MudWings, SkyWings, NightWings, and SeaWings. In 7,624 the Gem of Nightfall was lost. The Imperial NightWing Vessel (I.N.V.) Baishe and her fleet were lost at sea with the Gem of Nightfall, along with Yueguang, never to be seen again.
Queen Spiritguider was crowned in 7,625. Three years later in 7,627, under the orders of Spiritguider, a NightWing/SeaWing hybrid animus named Drifter set out to find the wreck of the I.N.V. Baishe. Upon locating the wreck, they created a zone in the ocean known as Drifter's Valley. Howling winds and unyielding storms batter the area and dragons and ships who stray too far are shot down and killed by massive obsidian spears. Shortly after the creation of the valley, Drifter ended their own life, keeping the location a secret.
In 7,650 King Starseeker was crowned followed by King Fox in 7,668. Tensions rose with the MudWings in 7,687. War was threatened, but never reached.
The Monarch's Renaissance 7,720-8,007 A.S.
In 7,720 A.S., Prince Scrollwriter was crowned as ruler, though not for long as the following year, in 7,721, Prince Scrollwriter changed the NightWing government into a democracy. A new city called Ebon City began construction near Renewal in 7,730, followed by Clearsight City beginning construction in 7,750.
Queen Silverscale was elected to a rulership position in 7,800. In 7,804, Queen Silverscale changed the government back to a monarchy, thus reverting Scrollwriter’s actions
The Royal Land Challenge took place in 7,904. The main impact of this was a temporary alliance between IceWings, SkyWings, and NightWings to assassinate the RainWing ruler of the time, Shimmer.
In 8,007, a dragon named Stygian led an uprising against the NightWing government. Stygian gathered support from the citizens and attacked the crown. After the battle, he managed to gather the remaining survivors and led them away from the kingdom. His motivation for attacking the crown was his wife, Eclipse, being taken to the IceWings for a political marriage. By 8,007, Stygian had discovered the Eventide Archipelago. The survivors of the rebellion, around 200 dragons, settle on the Eventide Archipelago and crowned Stygian as their lord and leader.
The Frostburn War 8,008-8,023 A.S.
Overlord Providence took the throne in 8,008. In 8,010, Overlord Providence decided to sever their alliance with all tribes aside from the RainWings and SeaWings. In 8,020, Overlord Providence allied with the SandWings. In 8,021, Rapture the Third became lord of Eventide after Stygian's unfortunate death. An alliance with the SkyWings was formed, likely due to Overlord Providence’s attraction for Fire Lord Vulture of the SkyWings.
Tensions began to rise with the IceWings after Ruler Happy of the IceWings started accusing Overlord Providence of having an IceWing hit list. War was declared, but in the end, the conflict was resolved without battle.
In 8,022, the NightWings sent a ship to survey the location of the Heart of Ice and Fire, a supposedly enchanted object lying between IceWing and SkyWing territory. Overlord Providence was later requested to join the Firebound Alliance.
During the ensuing Frostburn War, Prince Rapture of The NightWings, Lord of Eventide, invited the Frozen Lotus Alliance rulers and their heirs to discuss letting refugees go to Eventide. The rulers and heirs denied his request.
During the midst of the war, Providence went missing. Reports concluded that Providence was lost at sea. Following this, King Rapture was crowned amidst the Frostburn War. In the Frostburn War's final battle, Rapture knocked out Firelord Vulture and had King Bog call off the remaining troops, thus ending the conflict.
After the war ended in 8,023, King Rapture quickly left the Firebound Alliance due to the war being over and not seeing any reason to remain a part of it. After the Battle at Rainforest's Edge, refugee efforts were sent under King Rapture's command. Prince Silentseer and others went to the rain forest with a small group of NightWings to gather up injured RainWings and bring them back to safety.
King Rapture and Firelord Vulture called a meeting hosted by Mamba, a RainWing mercenary and partner to King Rapture, to discuss the threat of Prince Night and how the kingdoms should proceed. The researchers could not fully rule out the possibility of Rapture being able to use future sight, as seers often spoke of their visions coming to them at different ages or times.
Eclipse Academy was constructed as a new school for seers, during this time. Rapture then held a Coronation Ceremony, a celebration event that officially crowned King Rapture and announced the completion of Eclipse Academy. The event took place at Eclipse Academy, after being delayed due to the Frostburn War.
The Celestial Conundrum 8,024-8,124 A.S.
Due to the city's old nature and lack of planning when first built, in 8,025, Clearsight City was put under construction to restore much of the architecture.
Prince Silentseer began a project to research artificial moonlight in 8,027, to try to find a way to mimic its properties without needing moonlight. Over the coming years, this was slightly successful, as he found a way to not need direct moonlight and increase the chances of gaining powers/making powers stronger.
In 8,040, scientist Judgment disappeared. Hired as a mind-reading specialist, Judgment joined the skyfire case study led by Cardinal the SkyWing, located at the southern edge of the Ice Kingdom. However, since the study began, Judgment never made another public appearance. NightWing journalists and other scholars questioned his sudden disappearance from the scientific field, and his final whereabouts remain a mystery.
In 8,042, King Rapture vanished, leaving no trace other than the crown, an enchanted necklace, and a note left on an empty thrown. Eventide's main island sank, and those who could escape fled to Midtide and Tide Edge. Celestial Silentseer took up the throne following Rapture's disappearance, and quickly issued a search party for Rapture.
Clearsight City's reconstruction was finished in 8,065. The city’s new architecture lends to a greater focus on nightlife and education.
Celestial Silentseer went missing without a trace in 8,082. Following this, Overlords Night/Yueguang became the new ruler.
In 8,100, coinciding with the strange disappearance of Overlord Night/Yueguang, a trio of dragons that look like Yueguang emerged in their place.
After 23 years of having no contact with the tribe, Overlord Yueguang returned in 8,123 with an unexpected message on the royalty stones. Following this message, they announced an alliance with the SeaWings and SandWings.
8124 started with a globe-wide hybrid massacre started by an IceWing named Penguin, although it was later rumored other dragons had joined in on the massacre. During the events, an alliance was forged between Overlord Yueguang and the Cold King Rime of the IceWings. The Barchan Pharoah Lemongrass fell ill, causing Regent Cassiope to step up.
Economy
Currency
The NightWings have their own currency, known as "Moonshards". One Moonshard is created with an amethyst stone in the centre surrounded by a silver ring with embedded runes. Moonshards also come in the form of a Moonchip, valued at 1/10th of a Moonshard. Moonchips are made with an amethyst centre, surrounded by a copper band with runes. A Moonslice is worth 1/2 of a Moonshard, and is made with an amethyst centre and bronze band with runes. A moonstone is worth 5 times a Moonshard and has an opal centre, surrounded by a gold band with carved runes. The most valuable of the currencies, a Moonchunk, is worth 20 times a Moonshard and is made with a black opal centre, and a gold band with inscribed runes.
1 Moonshard can be converted to 1.46 of the Generic Public Currency.

Lore and Myths
Graveyard Guilt
In 8022, a tale began to surface among soldiers of a vicious dragon with gleaming crimson eyes, their wings signed with the sigil of the tainted moon. It was said that the dragon cared not for the type of dragon they attacked, or of their social status. The tales spread among NightWings, and it was believed this was a dragonet of their tribe born under the forsaken blood moons. The stories have been written down and saved within the Athienruem Library for further review.
Trivia
- The Night Kingdom is the tribe with the largest member count, despite being one of the smaller tribes in server lore.
