Pyrrhia is one of the two main land masses on Wings of Fire: The New World. It is home to the seven Pyrrhian tribes: IceWings, MudWings, NightWings, RainWings, SandWings, SeaWings, and SkyWings.
Description
Pyrrhia is a large continent, measuring 9,856 blocks from west to east and 8,448 blocks from north to south. Initially created by then-owner ebelle during Generation 1, it was replicated in Minecraft nearly one-to-one from the series and, as such, resembles a dragon. The current generation was created by admin Bog, improving on many aspects such as lore accuracy, volume, and diversity.
Pyrrhia also houses significant and Wings of Fire-accurate locations such as the Pyrrhian Kingdoms, Jade Mountain Academy, and The Volcano. Other locations such as Frostburn's Ravine, Among-The-Evergreens, and Catamont's Claw are canon only to the server's lore, created over the years of WOFTNW's livelihood.

History
Pyrrhia was first created by ebelle and published for download on the Wings of Fire Fanon Wiki on July 11th of 2015. It was created using a program called WorldPainter.
Iteration 1
When ebelle started the server in March of 2016, she created a new version that was larger and had greatly improved terrain, featuring rounder mountains and more natural water depth. This was the map for Generation 1.
Iteration 2
On April 26th, ebelle announced she would create a larger world with more space for players to build. On May 5th, the server was migrated to Generation 2 with the new map, copying key structures to the new map with MCEdit. This iteration of Pyrrhia remained on the server for the longest amount of time, from April 2016 to June 2021.
Iteration 3
On March 3rd of 2020, ebelle announced she would once again create a new version of Pyrrhia for the server. The update would be slated to release only a few weeks later, but would be pushed back and delayed throughout the year until finally happening June of 2021, moving the server into Generation 3. This version would feature greatly improved terrain, better canon accuracy, deepslate, and another significant jump in size.
Some notable features of this version included large, connected caverns under Jade Mountain Academy, extreme snow depths in some areas in the Ice Kingdom, the Sediment Canyon mesa that became the commerce center, the edges of the map close to the land, and much more natural mountains.
Iteration 4
The Generation 4 revision of Pyrrhia was created by admin Bog rather than ebelle. Development began in April of 2023 and was released with the new server on September 2nd of 2023. The world was 50% larger than the previous, though the continent itself only 26% larger. The world also brought improvements in terms of biome diversity, terrain diversity, and canon accuracy.
Some notable features of this version include the volcano, several other islands, and the Highland Terrace area that became the commerce center.
