Post-Scorching 1-499

Marked by 3 major milestones, this era consisted of the crowning of the first-ever dragon queen. rumoured to of been from the ____ proto-tribe as a result of feeling the need to join forces to revenge a stolen egg thus kicking off the scorching. The scorching was an ancient event in which the dragons rose up in an attempt to commit genocide on the once dominant life forum, the scavengers. the dragons ultimately won this fight. within the next 500 years, war broke out between the dragons. they slowly separated into tribes from the original 3 proto-tribes claiming different territory for themself

The Ancient Era 500-1199

The exact date is unknown however it is commonly believed around the year 500 the NightWing tribe completely separated from the Proto-Tribes and picked their own Queen.

By the year 1000, the NightWings had started to develop basic technology such as basic medicine followed by a written Language in 1010.

The Dark Renaissance 1200-2971

In 1200 NightWings developed more Advanced Medicine kicking off The Dark Renaissance. Around 1700, Queen Dawnbreak was crowned. They are the earliest queen to have written recordings of details such as their name. Dawnbreak was credited with being pioneer and utilize (at the time) groundbreaking strategy on the battlefield where other tribes focused heavily on brute force and numbers. The War of Long Talon was a minor war between the NightWings and the SandWings over territory around the talon peninsula starting in 1715 and ending in 1719 with Juexin's Charge. Juexin, Queen Dawnbreak's secret lover and one of her top commanders, foresaw that there was no outcome in the final battle where she would survive. rather than telling Dawnbreak, Juexin went out and commenced her final stand anyway. intending to go out on her own terms, Juexin ordered a near-suicidal charge straight into enemy lines. the charge was successful, with the heavily outnumbered NightWings defying all odds and managing to tear into the enemy forces, sending them running. Juexin however was mortally wounded during the charge. Dawnbreak would visit her dying lover in the infirmary, during which her final words to her queen and lover was a gentle smirk followed by: "You're welcome." before passing. Juexin's Charge would mark the end of the war with both sides running out of steam resulting in a draw. In 2138, Juexin City began construction, a trading city named after this stubborn yet brave commander sits at the mouth of the river just south of Jade Mountain.

The Rise of Darkstalker 2972-3012

The Rise of Darkstalker, this era was mainly focused on Darkstalker and his rise to power. Starting with Queen Vigilance being crowned in 2972. The war In 3006 after the NightWings used Foeslayer as bait to steal Prince Arctic of the IceWings to introduce an animus bloodline into their tribe. The great war of Ice and Night began. 3007, the year Darkstalker hatched. the world would soon know his power. 3012 after his rise to power Darkstalker was placed under a spell keeping him asleep for the next 2000 years, though not before his last display of power causing so much feer the entire tribe went into hiding finding a secret island just to avoid the chance they might see him again.

The Age of Shadows 3013-4997

It was predicted that around the time of 3060, Clearsight finished writing her famous book, known as The Book of Clearsight. In 3488 Nightfall, An animus of an unknown tribe roamed across Pyrrhia. Rather than using traditional animus magic, they had two offshoots of animus magic that they called "Transmutation" and "Seals". Transmutation allowed Nightfall to change an object into another object of identical mass and material whereas Seals were paper talismans that allowed objects to carry out the commands written on them, similar to animus magic. Nightfall ventured across Pyrrhia using their powers to help other dragons across the continent, never seen without at least two small animals under their Seal's magic by their side who they would release back into the wild as soon as they didn't need their help anymore. Their cloaked silhouette left much up to debate on their appearance, gender, and tribe with the general consensus being a female NightWing gave their name and what was to come. After a few decades of helping Pyrrhia, Nightfall eventually vanished without a trace In 3545, what is now known as the Sanguine Skies Incident, Nightfall returns, but something was different. Rather than helping the continent of Pyrrhia as a whole, many dragons reported hearing them mutter something about somebody named "Blackberry". Several reports of missing dragons were also filed around the time of their return, with the only thing linking the missing dragons to Nightfall being residue left behind by their transmutation magic. The cases ramped up each day for seven days until the eighth day when Nightfall was observed to be killing a dragon in broad daylight. By now, Nightfall had become a serious threat that needed to be ended. A group of dragons from several tribes banded together to deal the finishing blow to Nightfall before they could cause any more damage. After a long and fierce battle that saw the end of many brave souls, Nightfall's energy was finally spent and they fell to the combined forces. Some dragons at the scene reported seeing Nightfall's body almost melting into the ground to be soaked up by the earth, never to be seen again, this time seemingly for good.

The NightWing Exodus 4998-5999

Queen BattleWinner was crowned the queen in 4998 followed by the island volcano erupting in 5000, as a result in 5001 Queen Battlewinner created the prophecy to end the war of Sandwing Succession, with the secret motive being for the war to act as a distraction for the NightWings to obtain new territory on Pyrrhia. In 5002 after Queen Battlewinner take an IceWing blast to the throat limiting their ability to speak outside of just wispers, Princess Greatness acts as Battlewinners messenger delivering all orders to the tribe. rumours started to spread that Battlewinner was dead, but these were later proven false. 5003, Deathbringer, an assassin was sent on a mission to kill General Tempest of the Seawings but in such a way it was believed to be an act of the Mudwings. this ultimately led to the Mudwings deciding to break their alliance with the SeaWings and Blister to join the SkyWings and Burn. In 5011 the island volcano erupts once more causing all the NightWings to flee from this island. Queen Battlewinner was killed in the eruption. Queen Glory of the RainWings offered the NightWins to live in the rainforest on the condition they bowled to her rule as their queen. The NightWings accepted thus Crowning Queen Glory of the RainWings and NightWings, The first dual tribe ruler since the time of Proto-Dragons In the same year, Darkstalker wakes up once more. managing to escape his prison under Agate Mountain. The following year 5012, Darkstalker attempts to take back the NightWings tribe as a self-proclaimed King, thus also becoming the first male dragon to ever rule. Leading the majority of the tribe back to the lost city of Night located on the Tallon Peninsula. Darkstalker later rekindles the 2000-year-old war between NightWings and IceWings by using animus magic to start a deadly plague in the Ice Kingdom, killing Queen Glacier in the process. Under the rule of the new IceWing queen, Queen Snowfall a military operation is started targeting Darkstalker, the IceWing and NightWing armies clash overhead at Jade Mountain in a showdown of thunder and ice. An animus spell is enabled for 60 seconds letting all dragons on the battlefield hear each other's thoughts to understand and empathise with the enemy before teleporting the soldiers back to their home leaving just Darkstalker and his mother, foeslayer. Forslayer tricks Darkstalker into eating an enchanted strawberry ending his rain of terror once and for all. all the NightWings returned to the rainforest under Queen Glory for the next 8 years, till in 5020 a group of 27 NightWings led by Fiecreteeth left to return to their true home, the lost city of Night. they created a new settlement called Renewal. By 5030, enough NightWings had returned to Renewal for it to be worth crowning their own queen once more. enter, Queen Fiecreteeth of the NightWings. By 5035 almost all NightWings had rejoined their tribe in Renewal leaving the rainforest behind. 5100, a Blood Red Moon is Recorded. Some old Nightwing scrolls tell stories of Nightwings with enhanced abilities born under a "Blood Moon". This type of moon is referred to by many names by the different tribes. The Nightwings were cautious of the moons on this night and moved any eggs due to hatch inside to avoid this enhanced Nightwings in fear of making another Darkstalker. The tales would spread throughout the kingdom and Nightiwngs born under the "Blood Moon" were considered bad omens and dangerous. In 5200 Construction began on a new NightWing Palace building on the ruins of the Lost City of Night. 5275, A Blue Moon is Recorded Little is known of the "Blue Moon" the scrolls mentioning them are very old and torn. The language seems basic and lots is lost in translation, though there is some kind of warning. Nightwings that were exposed to the light of the "Blue Moon" seemed to have felt stronger and their senses heightened. More research must be done.

Starlight Commerce Revolution 6000-7499

In 6000 The Laws of Succession were changed to permit any noble to attempt to climb Royalty ranks, thus allowing them to challenge the ruler. This law also finally officially allowed the rule of a male dragon. By 6050 Nightwings had opened borders to other tribes so they could were officially allowed to pass through Nightwing territory and waterways for trade or relief efforts with proper documentation. Just 10 years later in 6060 NightWing Hybrids were officially recognised as part of the tribe and allowed all the same rights as pure NightWings. 6080 AS Nightwing and Hivewing Relations, After years of negotiation between Nightwings and Hivewings, at last in 6080 The NightWings shared research some of their research as part of a deal to let NightWing Scholars study The Book of Clearsight. 6120, a Blood Moons was recorded. All eggs were taken inside the kingdom to avoid the tales told from the old scripts. The sky went blood red and a couple of Nightwings reported that they felt more aggression during their exposure to the moonlight and had hateful thoughts. In 6128 a NightWing/Hivewing dragon claiming to be the son of one of the scholars sent to study "The Book of Clearsight" arrived. He had piercing red eyes and was fairly large when compared to others, especially for his age. He was both able to read minds and had future sight which very few dragons had at this time, along with being blood moon born able to project his thoughts into the minds of all other dragons. He began to study his abilities and built systems for more efficient trading. The dragon's name was Rapture(The First). By 6130 Rapture had started the Merchant's Guild which brought all trading markets together under a single roof, in this way, only one merchant license was needed for cross-tribe trading of Nightwing goods, as well as introducing the idea of credit and interest. The guild also was an official extension of the crown meaning merchants were now allowed to carry specialized items now. By the time of 6135, this new trading format had spread throughout most of the tribes. The Nightwings built a massive trading area known as Dawnburst Trading Outpost in response to the growing popularity of their established systems in 6140. The current ruler of the time in 6150 started to perform some controversial actions. They began to sell large amounts of the Kingdom for political alliances and fortune. This action left many citizens uncomfortable and began unrest within the kingdom, as little NightWing land would now exist. Some individuals began to make plans to take action into their own hands to 'save' their kingdom. Formed a few years earlier, yet not very active till 6160, The Crimson Night A private Military organization founded by Rapture has begun to gain a larger and larger amount of members and has begun challenging the city guards and royal guard. 6190, The Red River. The Crimson Nights launched an attack on the city guard centres in the Nightwing Capital, the battle ensued with the remaining city guard retreating into the palace walls grouping up with the highest-ranked royal guards. Many of the Crimson Nights were lost in the subjugation of the city guard. Rapture believed he had the upper hand in the conflict he continued on and broke through the Palace gate, the royal guards and the crimson nights would clash. A dragon Rapture did not see in his future walked out from the palace, she had silverish scales with a frosty blue gleam it was an icewing, he suddenly got a flash of visions, his army would fall he would die here all because of her. Rapture stared her down as she glanced his way lifting her talons up suddenly a flash of lightning struck down on the centre of the battlefield, Dragons from both sides vanished in an instant. Rapture knew this must have been the animus magic he had heard of. Smoke filled the air, and Rapture was at a loss at what he witnessed, he got himself up and managed to use his mindreading to confuse the icewing, he managed to blind her senses, and she froze. Rapture could not see a future where he would win this fight he said the word for his remaining dragons to retreat. Rapture was the last to leave but he kept his hold on her until they were out of the capital. Many referred to this event as "The Red River" as once the Crimson Nights fled it would rain in the capital and the blood in the streets created red rivers from the palace down to the docks. A Memorial was Built for Red River in 6193. This memorial was made to honour all the guards and citizens lost in the fight against the Crimson Nights; All of Rapture's descendants are shunned and forced to live in the shadows. In 6195 a new Law was Passed prohibiting Nightwing's eggs from being hatched under the moonlight of Blood Moons and Blue Moons, due to events of "The Red River". Any dragonets that are born under these circumstances will be turned over to the royal family of the time to discuss further action, the parents of the dragonet may be imprisoned for endangerment of the kingdom.

The Age of Astral Discoveries 7500-7719

In 7500 King Hank is Crowned followed by King Shale in 7520, then Queen Claire in 7600. The Titan Pact VS. Hurricanes began in 7616 with the NightWings joining the Titan Pact side under the rule of Queen Claire. With the Hurricanes absolutely losing the first fight of the war, Queen Claire pulled the NightWings out of the war due to seeing it as an unfair fight for the opposition 7620 Yueguang becomes the ruler taking up the title of Overlord Yueguang found and used an ancient artifact called the Gem of Nightfall in 7621 for many of their experiments. the gem appears to be an infinite yet extremely unstable source of energy, allowing NightWings to make many generations' leaps ahead in technology. while not confirmed, many rumours began to spread about Yueguang's experiments, with some believing that they were even experimenting on live dragons within their hidden lab. none of these rumours have been confirmed. Also, a handful of dragons, some of them having animus powers, around this time were reported as missing but were never found. the reality was that Yueguang had lured them into their lab to experiment on them Overlord Yueguang created a temporary alliance with the Icewings ruler, King Polar and the Mudwings in 7622. The following year, 7623, another Multi Tribe Alliance is Made. This Alliance included the Mudwings, Skywings, Nightwings, and Seawings. In 7624 the Gem of Nightfall was lost. The Imperial NightWing Vessel (I.N.V.) Baishe and her fleet are lost at sea with the Gem of Nightfall, along with Yueguang, never to be seen again. Queen Spiritguider is Crowned in 7625. 3 years later in 7627, Drifter's Valley was created. Under the orders of Spiritguider, a Night/Sea hybrid animus named "Drifter" sets out to find the wreck of the I.N.V. Baishe. upon locating the wreck, they create a zone in the ocean known today as "Drifter's Valley." howling winds and unyielding storms batter the area and dragons and ships who stray too far are shot down and killed by massive obsidian spears. shortly after the creation of the valley, Drifter ends their own life, keeping the location a secret. In 7650 King Starseeker was Crowned followed by King Fox in 7668. Tensions rise with the mudwings in 7687. war was discussed, but never reached

The Monarch's Renaissance 7720-8007

In 7720 Prince Scrollwritter was crowned as ruler though not for long as the following year, in 7721 Prince Scrollwritters changed the NightWings to a democracy. A new city called 'Ebon City' started construction by Renewal in 7730. Followed by Clearsight City iteration 1 beginning construction in 7750. Queen Silverscale is Crowned in 7800. In 7804 Queen Silverscale changed the tribe back to a monarchy, thus undoing what Scrollwritter had done. The Royal Land Challenge took place in 7904, it was a war. The main impact of this was a temporary alliance between Icewings, Skywings, and Nightwings to take out the RainWing ruler of the time, Shimmer. In 8004. The Brightest Blood Moons is Recorded. After more research it has been determined that Nightiwngs born under the Blood Moons have a tendency to be more aggressive and have stronger emotions; their powers often tend to be stronger than other Nightwings. Very few Nightwings have been born under these moons but from the few that have been, they are considered to be a danger to the tribe and should be monitored. Eggs should be brought inside during these nights to avoid the birth of these types of dragons, it is said one once almost took control of the kingdom and even managed to fight an animus using his enhanced abilities. In 8007 a dragon named Stygian leads an uprising. Stygian gathers support from the citizens and attacks the crown, after a battle ensues, He manages to gather up the remaining survivors and leads them away from the kingdom. (His reason for attacking the crown was due to his wife Eclipse being taken to the Icewings for a political marriage) By 8007, Stygian had found the Eventide archipelago. The survivors of the rebellion (around 200 dragons) settle on the Eventide Archipelago and crown Stygian as their lord and leader
