Animi in the Sea Kingdom aren’t as rare as they were last map or before the time skip. There isn’t an exact amount, though certain animi can be recognized by royalty if they sign a magically binding contract not to "go rogue". The laws around animi are more so based around not obliterating the tribe. Free will is given, but not disrupting the balance of nature.

Governance and Leadership

There is little distance between the monarchy and the tribe. The government is spearheaded by the ruling body. The government is often viewed as an extension of the ruling body. Any dragon living in another tribe’s territory is deemed an immigrant in the eyes of the SeaWing government.

The laws that are a given are those about not harming others, protecting over-fishing and the environment, and product quality regulation.

Geography

The SeaWing Kingdom is situated on the tail of the Pyrrhian continent, much like the canon book counterpart.

Culture and Society

SeaWings have no primary religion, though it is tradition to respect and take care of the sea. To treat the sea with disregard is frowned upon.

Military and Defense

While not mandatory, many SeaWings join the militia as it provides a job without having to produce a product. Joining the SeaWing Military is like joining a trade. SeaWings are put into a pod of other apprentices and taught to the best of their abilities. It is common for a SeaWing to swap through pods as they are trained to best fit their capabilities and skill level. Besides being a fighting force, the lack of war has caused the majority of the militia to act as a labor company. To keep dragons in shape, those that aren't patrolling the seas have the choice to aid the palace building company or tend to the militia storage. This keeps war materials ready for battle while helping the community. This also helps keep dragons fed and housed for their work. It’s not uncommon for a SeaWing to temporarily join the military until they have basic training and find work they’d rather do.

History

Pre-Scorching

Very little is known about this period. It is believed that most dragons lacked fire, particularly the SeaWings, but it is also possible that IceWings, RainWings, and various Pantalan tribes were involved.

Post-Scorching (0-499 A.S.)

This era is marked by three significant milestones. It began with the crowning of the first-ever dragon queen, who was rumored to hail from a proto-tribe. Feeling compelled to unite with other dragons to avenge a stolen egg, she instigated the event known as the Scorching. The Scorching was a pivotal moment when dragons rose in an attempt to exterminate the scavengers, who were the dominant life form at the time. The dragons ultimately emerged victorious from this conflict. However, in the following 500 years, war broke out among the dragons, leading to the gradual formation of tribes of the original three proto-tribes, as they claimed different territories for themselves.

Ancient Era (500-999 A.S.)

During this period, four distinct tribes formed with one consisting of tribes is now known as the modern LeafWings, SilkWings/HiveWings, IceWings, and SeaWings.

Era of the Deep (1000-1499 A.S.)

As the Pantalan tribes set off for the Lost Continent, what remained of the tribe splintered into three factions, one of which comprised water-breathing members. This faction retreated to the ocean's depths due to their lack of natural weapons. In 1050 A.S., Queen Trench, the first SeaWing queen, was crowned. She oversaw the construction of the Deep Palace, which took approximately 100 years to complete.

In 1070 A.S., conflict arose with the SkyWings over the coast. This conflict was sparked by temporary SeaWing villages established to accommodate them while the Deep Palace was being built. Despite being only 29 years old, Queen Trench valiantly led her tribe against the Kingdom of the Mountains, positioning herself on the front lines. Unfortunately, during the first year of conflict, the SeaWings were pushed back to the archipelago. This setback was primarily due to the fact that most battles took place in the air, where the SkyWings had a distinct advantage. However, in underwater combat, the Ocean Kingdom's forces had the upper hand, as they could drag the SkyWings beneath the waves.

In the Battle of the Delta, Queen Trench was slain, although the battle ended in a draw. Following the loss of their leader, the SeaWings signed a treaty with the SkyWings and retreated back into the Deep. Since the line of succession had not been fully established, the kingdom teetered on the brink of civil war. After this loss, the SeaWing tribe remained relatively isolated until 1499 A.S.

The Riptide Renaissance (1500-2990 A.S.)

In 1500 A.S., the SeaWings began constructing the Island Palace following a recent alliance with the MudWings. This marked the beginning of the tribe’s outreach to other tribes through trade and alliances. In 2199 A.S., a brief war broke out among the RainWings over territory in an area known on the map as the "dragon's butt." After a year of conflict, the territory was divided between the MudWings and SeaWings, and a treaty to resolve the conflict was negotiated in the newly completed Island Palace. For the remainder of this era, the tribe concentrated on improving their military, defense, and quality of life. In 2900 A.S., a marriage alliance was established between the IceWings and the SeaWings, involving a princess of Ice and a prince of the Sea, who were descendants of the first animus of the SeaWing tribe.

Assimilation of the Animus (2991-3012 A.S.)

This era began with the birth of the first known animus to the SeaWing tribe, Albatross.
