Announced on November 2, 2024 and taking effect on November 16, 2024, the Chrysalis Update was a major update to Wings of Fire: The New World. This update was intended to alleviate stress on staff, increase focus on the Minecraft server, and promote longevity of the Wings of Fire: The New World project. <sup>[[#References|[1]]]</sup>

==== Changes to the Discord ====

* The roles of Owner and Co-Owner have been removed, to clarify that the server is owned by the entire admin team.
* Five new subroles for staff (Technician, Director, Manager, Gamemaster, Builder) have been added.
* The build team has been disbanded.
* The following channels have been archived:
** All of the 👑 Royalty 👑 category
** # memes
** # lore-discussion
** 🔊 Not MC
** 💬 lore-concepts

==== Changes to the Minecraft Server ====

* ''Eye of Onyx'' and the attached royalty system has been removed due to increasing difficulties with moderation.
