AdminWings
The AdminWings are a small, independent tribe with no clear alliances or enemies. They are known for their lawful and outspoken nature. AdminWings are also excellent mediators, rumored to have put a stop to several near-wars. However, they are known to be uncharacteristically violent toward scavengers for mysterious reasons.
Appearance[edit | edit source]
AdminWings can come in any two main colors. Their chest and underbelly plating is consistently beige, but can appear tinted due to the blood running underneath. AdminWings are most commonly seen to be cool colors such as black, green, blue, and purple, but can rarely be found in warm hues. There are glowing markings all along their bodies, spines, and wing veins, appearing almost glow-in-the-dark at times. They have notably short tails, large bodies and wings, and six talons on each foot, including thumb-like digits. Their horns and spines vary in size and shape. Most AdminWings are at least the size of a SkyWing, sometimes larger. Their wing membranes stretch down to the midpoint of their tail, allowing for stronger flight. Their snouts have a high nose bridge with ridged indents on each side. Most AdminWings have dark scleras with brightly colored pupils, but a rare few have normal eye coloration.
Abilities[edit | edit source]
AdminWings are most known for their quick and agile movement. These dragons are not as physically strong as others due to their lanky builds, so they tend to rely on their high intelligence rather than brute force. The luminescent scales and accents throughout their bodies can be manipulated at will to glow in patterns or not at all, much like SeaWings. In fact, AdminWings are the only other tribe that can communicate in SeaWing Aquatic, albeit only in fragments. AdminWings have weak water-breathing abilities, and are easy targets in the night and underwater due to their unique scales. Their sixth talon on each foot also provides them with additional dexterity.
Little is known about the AdminWings and their elusive ability: Survey. AdminWings with dark scleroses (pictured in design) have been rumored to be able to “see” through the eyes of another dragon for short periods of time. It is unknown if this ability has any negative effect on the surveying AdminWing or the surveyed dragon. The requirements for this ability, such as range and visual clarity, are also unknown.
Livelihood[edit | edit source]
AdminWings have extensive lifespans, having been rumored to live up to three times as long as other dragon tribes (200-500 years). Because of their limber builds, however, AdminWings are especially susceptible to degenerative diseases that may hinder the last several decades of their lives. Little is known about AdminWing medicine.
Culture[edit | edit source]
All documented AdminWings have had grandiose or space-related names. It is believed that the AdminWings have extensively studied astronomy, and know more about the cosmos than any other tribe. Whenever the AdminWings discover a new galaxy/star, the next born dragonet is named after that galaxy/star. If not, another name or concept is chosen. It has been deduced from the few star maps recovered that AdminWings often use their own glowing blood as ink when drawing maps, most often for major constellations or galaxies.
