The WOFTNW Server[edit source]

What version is the server on?[edit source]

The server is running on Minecraft: Java Edition 1.20.4. Connect to it using either woftnw.org, play.woftnw.org, or woftnw.duckdns.org!

Why can't I join?[edit source]

Drop a username in ⁠our whitelist channel and you should be automatically added! You may add usernames of friends, alt accounts, or anyone else. The server runs on Java Edition, which means you need the Windows/MacOS/Linux version of the game. Mobile, console, and other versions do not work. If the server is down or Dreamvisitor isn’t working, let the staff know and be patient; we will get to you!

Can I join the server on Bedrock?[edit source]

No, sadly. Our server software does not work with Xbox accounts, which are required for Bedrock support.

How can I tell if the server is online?[edit source]

At the top of the channel list, there's a voice channel that shows the current status of the server. If the server has crashed, it can take up to a few days for us to fix. If we take it down, then we're probably working on it; we will be sure to keep you guys updated!

I can't see any new textures. Why?[edit source]

How can I get Sandbox?[edit source]

The World of WOFTNW[edit source]

How big is the world?[edit source]

Pyrrhia is 9,856 blocks west to east by 8,448 north to south, while Pantala is 5,760 blocks west to east by 5,632 north to south.

How do I protect my stuff?[edit source]

Placing a chest will automatically create a claim, or you can use /claim or /gd to create/manage a claim. Keep in mind that claims expire after two months of inactivity.

Where is ______?[edit source]

The Hub, accessible with /hub, allows you to teleport to most important locations. Various small huts with sea lanterns are located around the map that also act as Hub access points.

How can I add something I built to the Hub?[edit source]

Contact a staff member and have them check out your build! Do note that it must meet our qualifications to be added

How do I make money on the server?[edit source]

There are a few different ways to make money. One is the Pretarsi Mail Service, where you deliver letters and packages to locations around the world. You can also find instructions on how to set up your own shop in the Hub.

Who can I ask for a nickname?[edit source]

Any staff member can give you a nickname! Talk to one when they show up online.

How do I become royalty?[edit source]

Use the /challenge command in-game to initiate a challenge and climb the royalty board! You can view a list of royalty with /royalty. Check up on ⁠our Royalty page as well to view what each royal can do!

How do I use Elytras of Fire abilities?[edit source]

EoF abilities are toggled with /trigger eof.abilities and requires your last three hotbar slots to be empty by default. You can also toggle your tribal attributes with /trigger eof.attributes.

Why are there bots typing in the channels?[edit source]

Our server has two actual bots called Tupper and PluralKit, which are used for hosting systems and occasionally for roleplays. Understand that not every message from a "bot" is actually a bot, so please continue to be courteous to your fellow members!

How do I join the staff team?[edit source]

What is Insiders Perks?[edit source]

Insiders is a series of perks you can purchase with our custom server currency, or access through our Patreon! Insiders will give you access to sneak-peak development screenshots and potentially the opportunity to help test projects or events before they are released! There are three tiers of Insiders Perks, each reveal varying levels of teasers based on the tier with 1 as the lowest and 3 being the highest.

I believe I was unfairly warned. Can I dispute the infraction?[edit source]

You can create a ⁠ticket to argue the validity of your warn. Please see our Rules System explanation for more insight on how warns are handled!

Is there any way I can support the server?[edit source]

Yes! Anything you do to promote the server is more than enough to show your support: YouTube content, sharing our links, and inviting your friends! We also have a RedBubble and a Patreon you can visit and see if you fancy anything there. Not at all necessary but always appreciated!

Can anyone contribute to the wiki?[edit source]

Yes! While this does mean that it is open to be edited by anyone, please be considerate and mindful of what you post. Refer to our Contribution Guide to see how you can make great wiki pages!

What am I allowed to add to the wiki?[edit source]

Below is a very basic guideline of things you can add to the WOFTNW wiki. If you aren't sure if you can or should add it, ask a staff member!

  • Minor areas and locations
  • Minor events
  • Lower-quality submissionsHave a plan of what you want to add to the wiki before creating the page! The more brainstorming, the better!

Is there any account verification I can do?[edit source]

Absolutely! Head to ⁠bot-commands and use the command /verify <your wiki username> to bridge your accounts and obtain the Wiki Verified role. This requires that you have made at least 3 contributions to the wiki!
